I was here for the corona test. Unfortunately, I can hardly contribute anything to the Grugahalle myself, as it was tested below the hall. But everything is well signposted and clean.
Was for the corona rapid test ... Very well organized with enough distance from others. However, thanks to the staff, the payment process takes a very long time ?
A legend
Unforgettable The Beatles
I always enjoy going to trade fairs here. I never miss fashion, home, handicrafts! ?
The Grugahalle is a multi-purpose indoor arena located at the edge of the Botanischer Garten Grugapark in Essen, Germany. Opened on 25 October 1958, its seating capacity is about 7,700 people and about 10,000 for unseated events. The building was heritage-listed in 2000. The Grugahalle is the venue for concerts, sport events, political rallies, annual general meetings of large companies, and live screenings of significant sport events. In September 1971, the Grugahalle was the venue for most of the games of the 1971 European basketball championship. In November 1987, the World Judo Championships were conducted there. Several handball clubs, including TUSEM Essen, used the hall for their home games from 1970 to 2005.
So nice
Unfortunately (as so often) there are no tickets with fixed seats (costs one star) and the parking situation before Christmas on a Saturday is not outstanding. Luckily we came from the Christmas market ? ? and by ? taxi, it was bearable. Drinks are ok with the usual surcharge - and if you are quick during the break ??♀️.
Nice event location, always offers great events and great stars
Here you get nostalgic. I like to be here. What doesn't work, however, is the organization of the beer stands. You stand in line forever because sausages have to be sold. Separate stands with drinks only would definitely reduce the queues. And why is staff going through the rows with ice, but not with drinks like in other halls? This would make the audience more satisfied and sales would increase significantly.
After an event we stood in the parking lot for 45 minutes in a traffic jam. There was no one who would have coordinated traffic in any way. Paying for the parking ticket before the event was nice, but as it later turned out to be senseless.
Everything great. Well organized. However, the parking lot situation is absolutely horrible. You have to go in and out of a barrier. Only that is not possible with a well attended event. I advise everyone to wait and only pay for their parking ticket when the car rate has shrunk.
This arena with over 5000 capacity has what it takes to host the best concert you can ever think of.
Like it
Easy to reach and friendly staff, unfortunately there are no more stars. Entrance very slow, about 1 hour until you are in the lobby, also long lines at the drinks stands and the food was very poor (dry rolls with a meatball or Viennese sausages) expensive. The view of the stage is also better in other halls than here.
Compared to other halls in the area, the Grugahalle is simply getting on in years. You can see it from the outside and inside that it has probably not been modernized for a long time. Getting there or parking was still fairly quick and was regulated quite well by the instructors, the departure was pretty chaotic and took a long time. The queue for admission was also long. The range of food and drinks is very simple (rolls with meatball / bockwurst or a pretzel). A dispenser for soft drinks is available, but it is still poured from the bottle. The toilets were clean and the chairs inside were reasonably comfortable.
Great event, the Chinese Christmas circus was just great
Top
It was very nice!
Top ..
Mega
Supeeeeeeerrrrrfr
Nice place to roam with friends and family. Entry fee is 5 euro
A good event hall, where the grandstands with their seating leave little room for the legs. Very tight rows.
GREAT VENUE
The Grugahalle has come in the days. You can tell that a little bit too. Nevertheless, she can keep up with the other event halls in the region.
A great concert. Dżem, Krzysztof Cugowski, Bajm.
The good old Grugahalle .... unfortunately very old ... There are always great events and concerts taking place here, but unfortunately you do not really get anything for your money inside this location, as long as you compare it to comparable locations. Parking is usually available, but you have to take a certain distance in purchasing. Even the drinks counter in the lobby is a nightmare. Here you call proud prices, but unfortunately, in addition to endless waiting, even with very small drinks. The toilets are functional, but that's about it. All in all, a pity that you do not invest money, because one thing is clear: for the same money, you get in the environment much more comfort, location and gastronomy.
Nice place for concert
Allways come Here for essen motorshow and techno classica
Super!
I was there for the first time ... for the Covenant Trumpet Festival. The acoustics are great there.
Is always well organized. Could have more toilets, they are often crowded during breaks.
Easy to reach and excellent facilities
Tolle Lacation.
